{"id":4005,"date":"2011-10-18T13:03:29","date_gmt":"2011-10-18T02:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelwyres.com\/?p=4005"},"modified":"2011-10-18T13:03:29","modified_gmt":"2011-10-18T02:03:29","slug":"no-screwing-with-my-colours-google","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelwyres.com.au\/mwdc\/2011\/10\/no-screwing-with-my-colours-google\/","title":{"rendered":"No Screwing With My Colours Google!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After seeing a few mutterings on Twitter in regards to Google changing the colours on the various calendars people have set up in <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/calendar.google.com\/\">Google Calendar<\/a>, I thought I&#8217;d check my own.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Yup.  New colours.  Completely different to my old settings.<\/p>\n<p>And you know, it is great to have more colour choices &#8211; (previously there were only about 10) &#8211; as the colours make it easy to categorise calendar entries.<\/p>\n<p>But seriously Google &#8211; don&#8217;t just change them!  The colours I chose for my particular calendars have particular meanings.<\/p>\n<p>When I see green, I know an appointment is work related &#8211; I didn&#8217;t see any green this morning.  Fortunately I had nothing calendarised for today &#8211; but I didn&#8217;t see any green for tomorrow either, and there is work stuff there &#8211; and I might not have seen it if I&#8217;d not seen the colour changes.<\/p>\n<p>Not the end of the world &#8211; and not difficult to change back &#8211; but not a great way to endear people to your changes either!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After seeing a few mutterings on Twitter in regards to Google changing the colours on the various calendars people have set up in Google Calendar, I thought I&#8217;d check my own.
