{"id":7337,"date":"2013-01-11T14:15:05","date_gmt":"2013-01-11T03:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelwyres.com\/?p=7337"},"modified":"2013-01-11T14:15:05","modified_gmt":"2013-01-11T03:15:05","slug":"why-is-the-csiro-analysing-millions-of-tweets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelwyres.com.au\/mwdc\/2013\/01\/why-is-the-csiro-analysing-millions-of-tweets\/","title":{"rendered":"Why Is The CSIRO Analysing Millions Of Tweets?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It seems that &#8220;AC&#8221; and &#8220;DC&#8221; over at the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Commonwealth_Scientific_and_Industrial_Research_Organisation\">CSIRO<\/a> didn&#8217;t get together and discuss the very similar tweets they sent out today.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CSIROnews\/status\/289489349135982593\">the first<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>And here&#8217;s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CSIROnews\/status\/289567365522411520\">the second<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>How does one analysis come up with 12.5 million tweets about the bushfires in a week, yet another finds only 55,000 out of 6.6 million tweets analysed?<\/p>\n<p>If the first one is true, most of the 6.6 millions tweets in the second should be about the bushfires.
