{"id":9898,"date":"2013-09-12T15:19:10","date_gmt":"2013-09-12T05:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/michaelwyres.com\/?p=9898"},"modified":"2013-09-12T15:19:10","modified_gmt":"2013-09-12T05:19:10","slug":"murdoch-then-and-there-what-about-here-and-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/michaelwyres.com.au\/mwdc\/2013\/09\/murdoch-then-and-there-what-about-here-and-now\/","title":{"rendered":"Murdoch Then And There &#8211; What About Here And Now?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Australian_federal_election,_2013\">federal election<\/a> run and won, delivering a result for better or for worse, for many people the question of the power and influence shown by <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rupert_Murdoch\">Rupert Murdoch<\/a> and his media empire over the result will likely remain a point of debate and contention &#8211; and for a very long time.<\/p>\n<p>There has been plenty of debate over where a news organisation should and should not draw the line.<\/p>\n<p>This article isn&#8217;t here to debate these questions.
