Sure, it’s funny that a place like the Pentagon could and would have it’s email systems hacked, but lets be honest, email systems aren’t that difficult to abuse.

We all get spam – it’s a fact of life on the internet – but some “thoughtful” network design can avoid spam, and attacks on sensitive email servers.
I’ve recently built an email solution where the mail services – SMTP, POP3, IMAP, etc – are not even visible to the internet – and therefore provides no attack surface for any hacking attempt.
The best part is, it’s not rocket science…
