Max Headroom and Remembering the Eighties

We’ve all seen the signs on bridges and other low structures under which a roadway passes. “Low Clearance”, “Maximum Height”, etc, etc. In the midst of completing a work-related errand this morning in West Melbourne, I saw this sign over the garage entrance of a block of apartments. Clearly someone with a sense of humour […]

It’s Not It’s!

Another one from my recent work at a major Melbourne hospital network – it’s the engineering department badge I had to wear every day – (with the hospital name removed to protect the guilty): It’s funny how people just don’t know the difference between “it’s” and “its”. You might need to click on the photo […]

Zap! I Think This Powerboard is Broken!

Amidst some recent project work for a major Melbourne hospital network, I stumbled across this powerboard in the engineering department of one of the hospital campuses. Given I found it in the engineering department, I’m sure it was there due to the “degraded” state it was in – (ie: taken out of service) – but […]

Barnaby Joyce: Pwned!

Massive Barnaby Joyce facepalm just now on Twitter, with this tweet, followed by this tweet from Tony Burke, the target of his attack: Pwned Barnaby! I wonder if he is really at the almond orchard?

The Scarecrow in Rehab

If you were going to build a scarecrow in the garden of a hospital rehabilitation ward – how would you do it? In a wheelchair of course! Perfectly logical.

As much as I would love to – (and easily […]

Kyle Sandilands: Girl?

Seems in the wake of Kyle Sandilands calling a news.com.au reporter a “fat slag”, and Holden pulling their sponsorship from Sandilands’ radio show as a result, that someone at News Limited may have wanted to subliminally call him a girl? Holden Pulls Sponsorship of Kyle and Jackie O Show Freudian? Maybe.

Trolley Return Fail

Spotted this last night while doing a spot of shopping at the local Safeway. Do you think perhaps it is time for them to empty the trolley return? There are three trolley returns in this car park, and they were all in the same condition. Overflowing into the aisles. Fail!

ABC News 24 – Circa 1924

Just noticed a rather interesting wardrobe selection on ABC News 24. Is this ABC News 1924?

Funny Foursquare Moment

Had a bit of a chuckle this evening at this response from Foursquare, while checking into the local McDonald’s for the birthday party of a school friend of our daughter Hannah. If this was my SECOND time checking into this location, why is it the first McDonald’s I’ve checked into, and the first fast food […]
